About:Getting Around Guilin

Coming to Guilin from Beijing. Would like to go on Li River cruse and get to some other sites?

Should I go back to GL at the end of the cruse and get to the sites like Longji Rice Terraces and caves from there or is it better to get to these sites from Yangshuo? Another related question: is it possible to see these places on my own or should I go with the professional tours?

As I know, GL is more convenient to reach these attractions. As the tour guide, if you have researched enough information about the scenic spots, then you may be unnecessary to go with the tour guide. Otherwise, if you have little or no information about them, you are advised to join in a tour when you go there.
