About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Hi there, My Z visa is expiring in 2 months. Can I still apply for a temporary residence permit?

If not, what's the best option for me to reside in China permanently or as long as possible? My wife and child are Chinese and we have been married for 4 years. I've been renewing my Z type yearly since 2013.

Nick, I’m afraid you cannot get permanent residence permit now. If you continue to work in China, then you can extend your residence permit. Or you can apply for a Q1 type and then you can also apply for a temporary residence permit to stay in China.

No, you cannot work on a Q1 type.
