Cost of Chinese visa

I am a U.K. Citizen who is traveling through China for 3weeks in July/August. Each site I look at gives me a different cost of how much a Chinese visa will be, ranging from £85-£200. I'm traveling with a tour company and I am only wanting a single entry as finishing trip in Hong Kong. Please help, v.confused!
