marriage certificate authenticated for use in china

Hello,I am helping an American family complete an adoption from China. Their marriage certificate was issued in Costa Rica and has certificates reading apostille. Is this correct? Or does the document need to be resubmitted and receive something else to be able to use it in China?Warm Regards,Brianna China Adoption Case Manager

Brianna, the marriage certificate needs to be authenticated by the embassy of China in Costa Rica if it is issued in that country.
