hotel near airport

Question

Hi. I will have only 12 hours in Beijing before my flight to France. I have booked a hotel 1Km form the airport to have a proper rest. Do I need to apply for a visa to leave the airport or will it be ok? Do my luggage stay with me or will they automatically be schedule for the next flight?thanks a lot

Hi, if you travel like a New Zealand-Beijing(12 hours)-France, no visa will be needed for that. You need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at Beijing airport. Afterwards, you can leave the airport to have a proper rest.You can contact with the airlines to confirm if you need to collect your luggage. If your luggage is delivered to the final destination directly, there is no need to collect.
