palace museum online ticket

Question

My American family is looking forward to visiting the Palace Museum on Saturday, July 15.  It looks like I can book 10 days prior on: advance on the official website. For detailed information and instruction, please refer to the ticketing notice. Foreign visitors are required to provide passport numbers during the online booking. Can I book these ticket myself 10 days prior?I read somewhere that there are English tours but I can't find out times.  Do you know when?What time should I get there to avoid huge crowds - 08:00 am?Thanks

As I know, the booking website is Chinese, so you may ask a Chinese friend to help you book the ticket in advance.They have the Audio Guide Machine and the special tour guide. You may consult the detailed time by dialing the service line 85007421.The Palace Museum is open at 08:30, and you are advised to visit there at around 08:30 to avoid the crowds.
