how early can i apply for a chinese visa by post

we are travelling to china single entry on the 21st September staying for 4 nights, I am a uk citizen with a uk passport. when should I apply for the visa

Pamela, usually, you are advised to make the application one month earlier before your trip. If you want to apply by post, you can apply for it one and half months earlier.
