About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need the permit if I don´t leave the airport?

Hi,
if I only have an 11 hour transit in Shanghai (Prague - Shanghai - Hiroshima) and I don´t want to leave the airport, do I still need to apply for the 72-hour permit?

Thank you for the reply!

You don't if your bags are checked all the way or you are not switching terminals.
