Work Visa and Residence Permit Renewal

Hello, my name is Karen. I hold a Mexican passport, and I've been working in China for the last 8 months as a teacher with a Resident Permit; but it will expire on Aug-31.
So, I would like to know what are the specific requirements for renewal with the same school?
... and also, do I need to do the Medical examination again?
