About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

My mum decided to extend her stay to more than 15 days

when she reached shanghai. How do I go about applying for a visa for her?

She should go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to do that. She may need to provide passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid registration form, accommodation arrangement, and the return ticket.

If so, you can provide her an invitation letter and inside the letter stating that she will stay with you during that period.
