About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

My children's farther is Chinese. We currently live in china and they have us passports.

I was told to get them a travel document so we don't have to apply for an entry exit visa every time we leave the country. Can I apply for the travel document at this consulate?

Hi, Emma, you can make the application at this consulate if your living area belongs to the consular district of Chicago consulate.

What documents do I need for apply for the travel document? What items does the consulate need from me and my husband? Passport, marriage liciense, children's birth certificate?
