Changing from Q Visa to Residence Permit, already married Chinese citizen abroad

What is required to apply for a residence permit if I am already married to a Chinese national? I have been living in China on a Q type with 120 day stays, but would like to apply for a proper residence permit. We were married abroad, so our marriage certificate is from Canada. Can this be translated/notarized within China, or do I need to have this done by the Chinese consulate in Canada? Is there any additional requirements for my partner?

Thank you!

You should first apply for a Q1 type and then you can apply for the temporary residence permit.
You need to provide your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-style photo, health certificate, marriage certificate, as well as an invitation letter and your spouse'd ID card.
You need to get the marriage certificate certified by the Chinese consulate in Canada.
