Cancelled work permit but not residence permit re-enter China?

Hi

I have been working in China for 3 years and had both work and resident permit during that time. I recently got a job in Singapore and moved there. Before moving My old company cancelled the work permit but not the residence permit. My new company now wants me to go on a business trip to Beijing but I am not sure if my residence permit is still valid and I can enter using it or not?

No, you cannot use the residence permit. You need to apply for a visa for the trip.
