Extend X1/Get L within China

Hi,

I'm a German studying in Beijing with an X1 visa expiring at the end of July, and would like to travel in China in August. Is it possible to extend the X1 or how would you suggest getting the L type?

Thanks a lot and best regards!

Hi, it's possible for you to extend your student X1 type, and you can also try to convert your current X1 type to a tourist L type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China.
You should prepare the relevant documents including your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-style photo, Chinese residence permit, the air tickets, and hotel booking record, as well as other documents.
Afterwards, go to the local PSB to submit the application.
