Hi, you can use the free transit in Shanghai.
You should inform the airlines that you want to use the free transit in Shanghai before you board the plane in Bangkok. After arriving at Shanghai airport, you can go to the transit counter to apply for the free transit. You can get the result within ten minutes if only few people are waiting there.
