Sunrise on East Peak of Huashan Mountain

Hello, I am reading all of these questions about watching the sunrise on the East Peak but I am still confused. Do people ascend the mountain at night, let's say midnight, in order to catch the sunrise at 5 a.m. since it is a 4 hour climb? If they do this, is there equipment to rent?
Or do they climb the mountain the day before and camp/stay at the hotel?

Some traveler may climb the mountain at around 19:00. They usually rent a head light at the foot of the mountain. Some necessary food and water are also needed during the trip. Notably, it will be quite cold at night, so you are advised to take a warm coat with you.
Some may climb the mountain after 14:00 to catch the sunset. En route, they can also enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then they may stay at the top of the mountain for the sunrise of the next day. Please take the enough food, water an coat with you.
