X1 Visa and Temporary Residence Permit

Im a US citizen looking to study Chinese in Tianjin, I am planning to study for one or 2 year depending how well I pick up the language, my question is Im living with HIV/Undetectable currently have and 10yr Chinese L visa with multiple entries, but to be a student and study this length of time I need a X1 type would my condition be a problem to study Chinese and obtain a Temporary Residence Permit?
