About:China Visa Application in USA

New passport to replace old one with valid Chinese visa

I was issued a visa last year allowing me to visit your country.

On my return my US passport went unfortunately through
the washmachine after forgetting to clear the clothes pockets.

The printed and written content of the passport are intact and suffered no damage
what so ever. However the dark blue front and back cover was in bad shape and I consequently
applied for a new passport.

Wanting to go back next month to China, I would like to know whether I can bring with me
both passports to clear customs:
1) the now made invalid old passport with its immaculate Chinese Visa
2) the new issued passport replacing the old one.
Your reply would be most appreciated

Francis, if the information on both passports is the exactly the same, I think you can visit China by taking both passports.
