About:Beijing Capital Airport T2

Leaving the capital airport for a couple of hours

I arrive in T2 at 9am and then have a connecting flight to wuhan at 7pm and would like to leave the airport and visit Beijing. Anyone can advise whether this is an easy thing to do? I have enough time but worried the security check out and in will take too long. I do have a single entry visa for china. Thanks in advance!

If you want to go out of the airport, you may need to apply for a stay permit which is quite easy and won’t take a long time. You can ask the staff for help when you are confused. Have a nice trip.

Assume 2 hours to get through the airport, close to 1 hour into the city (daytime). Similar for return but you only need to be there 1.5hours before your domestic flight. Remember this city is huge so decide exactly where in the city you want to check out and only do that. It takes ages to get around the city, as traffic is horrible.
