About:China Transit Visa

Will I need a transit visa to claim and check in my baggage

I am a Philippine passport holder and may have a 3 hour stop over at Guangzhou on my way to Singapore. I am flying from Dushanbe to Guangzhou via China Southern and will fly to Singapore via Scoot airlines, I will need to claim my baggage and check it to Scoot.
Thank you.

No, you don’t need it because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou when you travel like Dushanbe- Guangzhou-Singapore. You can just apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the immigration office of Guangzhou airport, and then go to claim your luggage and check in to Scoot.
