Outbound flights

I'm polish citizen, in China on L-visa at the moment, I'd like to extend it for another 30 days in PSB. Do I need to book an outbound flight prior to visit is PSB? I'd rather not in case I don't get an extension.. Thank you.

Yes, you need to provide an outbound flight when making the extension. Or you can ask for an invitation letter from your friend if you have a friend in China. In this case, the outbound flight may not be necessary.
