About:Shanghai Transportation by Air

I arrive in Shanghai Pudong Airport at 06.45 and need to get a train to Danyang.

What is the transfer time at around 07.30 from PVG to Hongqiao train station by taxi? What cost?
Is there a better way than taxi?

Generally speaking, it takes around 50 mins on the way. It would cost around CNY 250 for the single trip. If you have enough time to catch the train, you can also take shuttle bus lne 1 from PVG to Hongqiao Railway Station. The duration is 70-80 mins. You can choose the way you like. :)
