About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I'm currently on a L-Visa, and towards the end of my max stay.

However, I've just received an offer from a chinese company, and they will start my work Z type application in 2 weeks. Is it possible for me to extend my max stay by any chance?

You can try, but there are no guarantees. The easiest way is to do a visa run which resets the clock while you wait.
