How much time does it takes to get a visa to China for tourists?

For a tourist trip to China how long it takes to make a visa? And do I need to buy the tickets first or I can make the visa first?

Usually, it takes four working days to processing. You are advised to buy the tickets first because if you don't have an invitation letter, the round-trip tickets are necessary to apply for the tourist L type.
