how to check hk visa status

Question

I'm a Vietnamese who has applied for HK visa via China embassy. It has been 10 days and the embassy has yet to get back to me. I'm also unsure of how I can check my application status as they didn't give me any application number. All they did was giving me a pink receipt as pick up form. I've tried to call them but they require an application number. I've tried to email but no one got back to me. Pls advise me on what to do!

Hi, if your application is transferred to HK immigration department to process, usually it will take four weeks, so please wait patiently.
