About:International Trains from/to China

Train travel Guangzhou to Shanghai with small cat

I will be flying out of Shanghai with cat. I need to get to Shanghai from Guangzhou. Airlines in China do not allow in cabin pets. Can I go by rail with cat in a pet case? Will have all documentation, shots etc. Was thinking of purchasing two seats.

As I know it is not allowed because there is no freight carriages for high speed trains.

hmmm any thoughts on how to get to Shanghai from Guangzhou, it looks almost like only option is to ship him to Shanghai, but since summer, concerned on heat and transport

Or maybe you can contact the airlines to see if you can arrange the pet in cargo cabin with oxygen supplies
