About:China Visa Exemption

I am from Thailand and planning to fly from Canada back to Thailand through Beijing.

Do I need a transit visa if I do not leave the airport and my connection is within a few hours?
Thank you

You don't need the transit G type for that if your total layover time in mainland China is within 24 hours.
