How to get from Xian South Train Station to the city centre ?

Hi, hoping someone can help. I've looked on google and it appears to take almost 4 hours to get from South Train Station to downtown area? Is this correct ? Would we be better taking a taxi ? Thanks

I’d like to take the Bell Tower Metro Station as the destination. You can take bus no.918 to North Chang’an Street Fengqi Crossing Bus Stop. Then you may walk northwards for about 165 yards (150 meters) to Fengqiyuan Metro Station. Afterwards, you may take metro line 2 to the Bell Tower Station directly. The entire trip will take around 2 hours.
If you take a taxi to the Bell Tower directly, it may cost CNY80-90.
