About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are traveling from Cyprus to Shanghai to Hong Kong and then returning to Shanghai

and leaving from the same airport we arrived. We have American and British passports with flight confirmations for Shanghai and train tickets for Hong Kong. Will we be eligible for the 144 hour transit visa?

You can use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai as long as your layover in Shanghai won’t exceed 144 hours.

We have actually just changed out itinerary. It is now Cyprus-Moscow-Shanghai-Moscow-Cyprus. We will be in Shanghai from April 10 and leave on April 13th. Are we eligible for the 72hour/144 hour free transit?

Could you explain? We are leaving Shanghai within 72 hours to travel to a third country, Russia.

Moscow-Shanghai-Moscow is not transit. Doesn't matter if you clear immigration in Russia or not.
