American citizen traveling back to USA from Thailand

Hello, I have a return flight back to the USA from Thailand, with 2 layovers in Shenzhen and Beijing that equal less than 24 hours. My flight itinerary says that I may need a Visa. Does my flight apply to the 24 hour Exemption? please help.
