About:China Tourist Visa

my husband & I have booked a world cruise in 2018 & will be arriving in Shanghai on 15th March

we will be there for 3 days then travelling onto Hong Kong, arriving on 20th March & leaving on the 21st March. Could you please advise what kind of visas we require & the costs, Thank you.

Hello Joleen, if you arrive Shanghai from another country and then leave for HK after three days, you do not need the entry permit for Shanghai as you qualify for the 144h free transit. For the stay in HK, the entry permit is not needed either because you hold UK passports. So actually you don't need to apply for any entry permit if you meet the requirements.
