About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I'm traveling from Chicago to Bangkok, with a 6hr layover in Beijing Capital Airport.

We are first time traveling to Bangkok from America. Leaving from Chicago, layover in PEK, then flying to Bangkok. I'm just curious if we have to go through customs and immigration in PEK and recheck our bags. We aren't going into PEK, we are just jumping on another flight in the same terminal that we arrived in,then flying to Bangkok. Can you please help? I just want to be prepared.

1. You need to confirm whether you can enjoy the Baggage Check-through Service with your airline company. If yes, then you don’t need to claim your baggage and recheck it. It will be sent to Bangkok directly.
2. There are two conditions when you have a transfer at PEK.
a. If you book a connecting flights ticket, then you don't need to do immigration again. You can follow the signs or ask the staff to help you to the Departure Hall directly.
b. If your ticket is not for a connecting flights, then you may go through the immigration, security check and customs inspection.
