About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visiting Shanghai for 4 days

Im traveling from US to Shanghai and back in 4 days. I have no other stops and wont visit other cities in China in this 4 days, but Shanghai. Do I qualify for visa free travel? I have a US passport.

Nel, if you travel following the route of US-Shanghai-US, you do not qualify for the free transit policy because you do not go to a third country or region after the visit in Shanghai.
