About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hrs stay in Beijing

I have booked a holiday for 2 weeks in Hong Kong and am planning 72 hours in Beijing and 5 days in Bali - do I need to get a visa

It depends on your exact itinerary. For example, if you fly HKG-PEK-HKG then you'll need a Chinese entry permit because you're not in transit at Beijing. But HKG-PEK-DPS is a transit and won't need a Chinese entry permit (assuming 72 hours or less in Beijing). If you would like to share your itinerary then I'm sure someone here will be able to advise you.
