Travelling From Toronto(YYZ) to Penang (PEN), layover in Guangzhou(CAN)

Hi,
I am holding a malaysian passport and travelling from toronto canada to penang malaysia.
There will be layover 12hours++ in Guangzhou.
My travel agent had book a hotel during a layover. I would like to take a rest at the hotel.
What type of transit visa should I apply and can I get it at Guangzhou Airport?

Hi, if you stop in China for less than 24 hours, you do not need a transit G type for that. Otherwise, you should apply for it in advance from the CVASC office in Malaysia.
