About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Stopping in China on my way to Thailand

Hello, my mom and I will be traveling from Mexico to China (landing in Shanghai) spending a day there, that night taking the night Train to Beijing. The next day taking a night flight to Bangkok Thailand from Beijing. We will be in China a total of 2 days. Is it ok if we fly into Shanghai, then fly out from Beijing to Thailand on this 72 hour visa free?

Gabriela, no, the 72 hour free transit is not applicable to your situation. You need to apply for a visa for that.
