About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

URGENT—Must I claim luggage?

Will be traveling through Guangzhou and hoping to hop out of the airport on 7 hour layover from Cambodia back to the US. If we're only going in to get dinner with a friend and then coming back to the airport, is it possible to NOT collect our baggage and just leave it checked through to the US?

Christopher, please contact with the airlines to ask if your luggage will be delivered to the final destination directly. If yes, you don’t need to claim it after arrival. Otherwise, you need to claim the luggage and then you can store it inside the airport.
