Are Multiple Entry Visa issued for Tourism

I'm an Australian National planning my visit to China this year. Im planning to do many counties along the silk route & will need to make multiple entry into China. I was wondering if I'm able to apply for a Multiple Entry Tourist L type? Also I have visited Taiwan last year, will it cause any problems for me in getting the Chinese visa?

Rocky, it’s possible for you to apply for multiple-entry tourist L type for China. It’s worth a try.
Your visit to Taiwan last year won’t cause any problems for your application.
