About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

I'm applying for a work visa for China.

The CVASC have told me I need an official letter of Duty authorised by Chinese government, but my employer said that as of Tuesday 21st March I don't need it. But CVASC say I do?
Do I? How do i move forward with my application with CVASC saying one thing and Chinese government another?

Brendan, based on what I know, you need to apply for an invitation letter from a duly authorized unit if you want to apply for Chinese work Z type. Your employer can get that for you.
