About:Directions for Use of Shanghai Public Transportation Card

I will start my trip in Shanghai at the Tangzhen metro station and end there six days later.

I don't want to bother around finding a place where they will refund me the CNY 20 once my trip will be over. I'm wondering if I should buy two three days passes instead? Knowing that I may take the subway three to four times a day, except one which I shouldn't be in need of travelling, what do you suggest?

If I choose to purchase the transportation card, do you know if there is a place in PVG where they'll refund me the deposit for the card?

Thanks!

Both two choices are recommended.
You can purchase two Three-day Travel Pass. It is sold CNY45 and could be purchased at any ticket booths set at these subway stations. With this pass, you can take all the subway lines without limit in 72 hours after the first use. This pass is not required to be returned after use so passenger could keep it as a souvenir.
If you wanna purchase the Ordinary Smart Card, you can buy it and get the refund at the Ticket Servivce Counter of metro line 2 at PVG. It won't be difficult for you to find this place because there are many detailed English signs at the airport.
