About:Jiayuguan Attractions

Hi, we plan to travel to Qi Yi Glacier from Jiayuguan in May 2017.

Instead of taking the train we are looking into renting a car for the whole day to take us to the glacier from JYG.
1) How much would a car costs?
2) Would the car go right up to the tongue of the glacier? We read of bloggers who have to hike about 2km from the car park. At this elevation, we do not intend to hike that far.

Lim, I heard it costs CNY600 per car and you will arrive at the scenic area in around 2h. The car cannot reach the tongue of the glacier. You need to hike for another 2km to reach there.

Hi Lim,
Did you visited the Glacier? If yes, how did you get there? If no, could you recommend what other attraction are there in Jiayuguan?
