About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

I need a double entry visa after granted a single entry

I granted a single entry while in Australia for my April trip. However just realised that I need a double entry since I will be in and out Shanghai/ Dandong China then Korea before returning China/ Beijing again. Can I apply for on arrival visa while I am in Shanghai then extend for another week? Do know that on arrival visa only valid for 72 hrs. Am I right? Please advise!

Kind regards
Queenie

Queenie, can you tell me the detailed itinerary for your trip, so I can tell whether you are eligible for the free transit policy?

I will depart from Taiwan to Shanghai then Dandong. After overnight in Dandong then fly to North Korea. After the Marathon tour then leave North Korea to Shanghai . Will stay in China for 10 days before returning Taiwan.

For your first entry to China, if the total time you spend there is not more than 24 hours, you don't need the entry permit. For your second entry, you need to get a visa.
