About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Auckland to Singapore to Beijing to Shanghai to HK to Auckland

Hi, I am traveling from Auckland, NZ to Singapore then to Beijing and then Shanghai, followed by HK and will return to Auckland. Only spending 2 day 1 night in each city - with several business meetings. Do I need a visa to enter China in this case ? Thank you.

Yes, dear, as you will have layover in both Beijing and Shanghai, you cannot enjoy the 72 or 144 hrs free transit. You need to apply for a business M type or tourist L type prior to departure.
