About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Transfer of Work Permit

Hi,

I live and work in Shanghai with a Z type, my Visa expires on July 31, 2017 and I just got a job in Beijing. What documents do I need to transfer or renew my work Z type before it expires in July 31.

Or What are the options I have before the expiration of that time.

Shaun, you should first cancel your current alien employment permit, and then ask your new employer in Beijing to get a new work permit and invitation of a duly authorized unit for you. Next, apply for a new work Z type; after, go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to renew your residence permit.
You need to provide your passport, the application form, a bareheaded color photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, labor contract, alien employment, and an invitation letter of a duly authorized unit as well as other materials the consular officers consider necessary.
