144hr visa free

hi, i'm flying from switzerland to shanghai for a 5 day stay. my onward flight to canada includes a stopover in beijing. am i covered by the 144hr free transit?

Tom, sorry, you are not eligible for the 144hrs free transit because of the layover in Beijing.
