About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I have a 10 year M visa for China, intended for an upcoming business trip.

After this trip, may I use this M type for non-business related travels? i.e. sight-seeing/visit family etc, or do I need to apply for a tourist L type in addition?

Yes, you can use the business M type for sightseeing or visiting family.
