72 hour Visa followed by a VOA into Shenzen - follow up

Thanks for your response. To confirm, it should not be an issue for a Canadian to enter Shenzen with VOA via Hong Kong entry on the return leg to North America of a 72 hour free transit to Beijing (Beijing-> Hong Kong (Shenzen VOA) -> Canada.

Would this same itinerary work for a US passport holder (Shenzen VOA part)? If not, what are the options for a US passport holder.

Stephen, if the travel route is Canada-Beijing (72 hours)-HK-Canada, and the traveler holds a US passport, she/he can enjoy free transit in Beijing.

There's no VOA at Shenzhen for US citizens.
