can i go to shanghai from hangzhou west bus station?

Question

1. Are there any buses from HZ to Shanghai depart at the West Bus Station? because our hostel is near the bus terminal.2. How much for the ticket? 3. How long does it take to Shanghai 4. Or we'd rather go by train? which is cheaper?                                      Thank you so much!!!!

Sorry, there is not direct bus from the West Bus Station to Shanghai. If you want to travel by bus, you need to take a bus from Jiubao Passenger Transport Center or North Bus Station. The ticket is about CNY 70 and single-trip takes about two hours. If you take a normal train, the cost is CNY 28.5 for a hard seat and it takes about 2.5 hours. If you take a bullet train, the cost is about CNY 77.5 and it takes an hours for the trip. I advise you to take a normal train.
