About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Asia Roundtrip

Hi,
Thanks for asking the questions here and all this info in general!
I'm planning to do a roundtrip within 14 days through Asia including
A) Vietnam-Shanghai-Japan-Beijing-South Korea-HongKong or
B) Vietnam-Beijing-South Korea-Shanghai-Japan-Hongkong

Is it possible to do this trip in these orders with transit visa as a holder of a German passport?

Anna, both route A and B will allow you to enjoy free transit in Shanghai and Beijing as long as you travel by flight and transit in Beijing and Shanghai for not more than 72 hours and 144 hours respectively.
