72 Hrs in Beijing with a flight Seoul - Beijing and Bejing - Bangkok (with a change of flight)

Hello,

I will be coming from Seoul South Korea, I plan staying and visiting Beijing for less than 72 hours. My next flight will be Beijing to Bangkok with a change of flight in Guangzhou.
Am I still eligible for the 72 Hrs Visa- free requirements despite changing flight at the airport of Guangzhou?
